Heer
Ranks Oberschütze (a star), Gefreite, Obergefreite, and Stabsgefreite have chevrons which show the rank. See the basic Heer rank table for more info.
Luftwaffe
Ranks Gefreiter, Obergefreiter and Hauptgefreiter have chevrons which show the rank. See the Luftwaffe rank table for more info. On combat uniforms and flying suits the rank is indicated by special rank symbols on the left shoulder
Kriegsmarine
Several ranks in the Kriegsmarine have chevrons. See the Kriegsmarine rank table for more info.
Waffen-SS
The Waffen-SS uses the same system as the Heer with according Waffen-SS ranks.
